Responsibilities

As we expand our portfolio of free-to-play apps, we're looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Analyst to join our rapidly growing studio. As a Business Analyst, you will responsible for working with stakeholders to understand and capture business requirements, then translate these into clear and detailed product requirements for our games and systems. You are humble, love to work with a multidisciplinary/cross-functional team, and are fanatical about great processes, small details and comprehensive documentation. You enjoy brainstorming and participating in idea creation, but you love just as much to distill ideas and create clear documentation to help with excellent execution in close collaboration with the product, creative, and engineering teams. You have a direct impact on the performance of our product and player satisfaction; your work product will be quickly visible, tested and validated.

Duties include:

  • Work with stakeholders and team members in various positions and functions to clearly capture product and systems ideas.

  • Develop and design appropriate technical solutions based on internal and external stakeholder requirements and detailed analysis of scope and functionality of what is desired.

  • Create easy-to-understand operational/user guides.

  • Take high-level direction and create detailed and clear product requirement documents for engineering, game design, production, creative, business intelligence and quality assurance. Requirements documents will be an appropriate mix of user narrative, wireframes, flow diagrams, use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, pseudo code, etc. that clearly express intent and goals.

  • Review and clarify product requirements with all teams and stakeholders so there is alignment for execution.

  • Take product requirements and work with teams and stakeholders to create tasks, priorities and timelines that are aligned with company milestones.

  • Drive projects forward in a fast-pace, analytical environment where feedback is gathered quickly and used to improve the product; we like to instrument, A/B test and improve.

  • Review and provide feedback for QA team to ensure test coverage of the product requirements.


Qualifications

  • Gets stuff done quickly and independently. Extremely organized.

  • 3+ years business requirements gathering experience in mobile, web or other engineering / technical products; having worked with client-server architectures and/or game design experience a plus.

  • Technical background, with demonstrated track-record of creating high-quality product requirement documents, wire-frames, flow diagrams, use case diagrams and technical specifications.

  • Knowledge of UML, BPMN a plus.

  • Intuition for great customer experience.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate clearly with all teams in the company including creative, engineering, QA and marketing/UA; able to make presentations and lead effective and efficient meetings.

  • Resourcefulness is key: evaluate and choose the best option for getting things done. E.g. build on existing systems or create new feature.

  • Excellent project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and
 prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understand software engineering and creative pipelines; no need to be an experienced programmer (but should be able to read code and specify in pseudocode).

  • Willing to ‘fill-in’ and be hands-on when necessary to get tasks done (e.g. QA).

  • Energetic, proactive problem solver; do not wait for problems to arise but looks forward and identifies potential constraints and takes steps to de-risk early on.

  • Good command of English - written and spoken; bilingual a plus.

  • Organized, flexible, hardworking, constant-learner and detail-orientated=
