Responsibilities

  • Rapid development of conceptual, logical and physical data models for a suite of social network gaming products
  • Perform dimensional modeling in support of business intelligence projects
  • Manage database clusters running Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop scripts to create or modify Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures
  • Manage database replication and synchronization with BI data warehouse
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting databases
  • Performance tuning of high-volume databases supporting multiple client platforms
  • Maintain high standards for design and production values within department
  • Play an active role in software design decisions. Architect and implement new data solutions when needed, and work with other engineers on module integration
  • Identify development methodologies to continually improve our production practices and efficiency. Communicate those improvements to content development management
  • Evaluate current and new web technologies; offer recommendations and reviews

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in development, design and build out of relational databases for enterprise software solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Proven experience in performance tuning
  • Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure
  • Experience and knowledge of different data modeling tools, strategies, methodologies and notations
  • Experience with dimensional modeling for data warehouses
  • Solid foundation in Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services, ETL
  • Possesses good communication and organization skills, flexibility and the proven ability to build quality products; strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Couchbase and NoSQL databases a plus
  • Experience with Snowflake and Tableau a plus
  • Degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
