The Senior Back End Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering with duties including:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain suite of centralized services

  • Provide high levels of system support

  • API design and development

  • Design, lead, and implement new features and systems

  • Design and work with data services

  • Play a leadership role in software design and architecture decisions

  • Commitment to excellence in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software

  • Collaborate with and support remote teams



  • Gets stuff done

  • 10+ years experience building consumer applications at scale

  • Master level experience with C# and ASP.NET

  • Expert with Microsoft technologies especially IIS, Windows Services and SQL Server

  • Experience with .NET Core a plus

  • Experience with microservices a plus

  • Comfortable working with new languages and technologies

  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work with legacy code bases

  • Ability to build scalable, high-performance, robust software that supports multiple clients

  • The ability to distinguish when it is and isn’t appropriate to refactor

  • Extensive experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Extensive experience with HTTP technologies using REST and JSON

  • Master debugger

  • Degree in CS/Engineering preferred but not required
