About Us


The Senior Backend Performance Engineer will be providing performance audit expertise and load testing methodologies to the engineering team members. Our team strives for best practices of Web API development and performance test automation.

The Senior Backend Performance Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering with duties including:

  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to perform automated load tests

  • Audit and review backend applications to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues

  • Setup and maintain load testing environments

  • Provide fixes, workarounds and directions on how to remove bottlenecks and improve performances

  • Communicate and educate fellow developers about implementation best practices

  • Make key contributions to design and architecture decisions

  • Monitor new technologies and Framework updates to improve performance and scalability of our applications

  • Commitment to excellence in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software

Responsibilities


Qualifications

Passion and drive for performance, scalability and reliability

  • 8+ years experience building, troubleshooting and improving applications at scale

  • Master level experience with .Net / C# and ASP.NET Web API

  • Master level experience with .Net Framework and CLR

  • Master debugger and troubleshooter

  • Extensive experience with database development on SQL Server

  • Extensive experience with SQL query optimization

  • Extensive experience with HTTP technologies

  • Experience with .NET Core a plus

  • Experience with microservices a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus

  • Experience with APM solutions a plus

  • Experience with NoSQL technologies a plus

  • Ability to test, audit and troubleshoot large applications

  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy

  • Comfortable working with new languages and technologies

  • Degree in CS/Engineering preferred but not required
